Perfect for hiding the water butt in the narrow gap behind the summer house. Easily installed on the Freeflush stand (on slabs) which allows maximum use of the 250L water storage. I also installed the leaf catcher, overflow and sight gauge. Freeflush were very helpful on the phone answering queries and taking the order, which arrived so quickly
Fine for the price, I've bought it to put a shallow root weeping acer in it, will need to put a hole in the bottom
Wouldn't recommend this company at all however. Customer service stinks. Another expensive badly packaged item arrived with extensive obvious rub marks. They argued black and blue it was part of the design and materials until I gave them the comparison with the bowl (same material). If I'd not ordered the second item I'd most likely have been stuck with a damaged item
The rainwater I use is pumped via a 12 volt pump, so the water needs to be filtered. This fits snuggly into the water butt lid (important to keep mosquitos out) and the down pipe inserts snuggly into the filter. It easy easy to rotate the lid in order to clean out the filter periodically. Robust, well made and perfect design for the job I need.
Before placing the order I called and took advice from a member of staff about the pot colours and to see if my pots were in stock which they were.
Placed the order which arrived within 5 days, excellent service. Packaging was a little scant and there were a few scuff marks.
These pats are huge and perfect for my Banana and Palm trees.
I would have given 5 stars but the pot isn't quite as sturdy as expected though I'm sure it will do the job.
Thank you for fulfilling my order so swift.
Very pleased with this marble effect Waterbutt. It’s well made, sturdy, nice brass tap and it looks good when planted up. It arrived within specified time and was well packaged. I’ve only given 4 stars as it’s quite expensive.
The only thing I'd add would be a cap when fitted to a round 68mm pipe, fortunately I had one that fitted the top nicely - see photo, grey cap). Regards diverson on or off it works very well.
After using cheap flimsy water butts for years, I treated myself to this one. Quite nice looking. Very sturdy. Easy to install. Looking forward to many years of use.
The plastic tube supplied was far too big in diameter for the supplied adaptor that screwed into the butt. The jubilee clip supplied to tighten the tube to the adaptor was also too big and could not be tightened sufficiently to stop water leaking out. I had to fit a smaller jubilee clip but still struggled to prevent leakage. The £19 cost is outrageous for a small plastic elbow into the butt, with a piece of plastic tube and a plastic 'U' clip to hold the top of the tube. Probably £1 worth.
I had previously bought a couple of 100ltr slim water butts which we thought were great and they certainly did the job we needed. But having recently moved we decided that the 250ltr slim butt would be more suitable. It was delivered quickly in a huge cardboard box. Installation was easy as it was mounted on a couple of sleepers to raise it off the ground and then secured to the wall. The feed from the downpipe was via a Garantia Avanti Rain Collector which made everything super simple. One excellent thing about this water butt is that there are multiple tap outlet positions but they are not drilled out so you can choose exactly where you want to have the tap. A great product and well worth the money.
Delivered really quickly. Very helpful delivery lady who wheeled the water butt into my garden. I had a few questions of Freeflush that they answered straight away. Great service. The water butt looks great. It’s now full of water from all the rain.
We already have one of these. It has a huge capacity and looks amazing with plants in. The grey colour is perfect and the quality is spot on. Still looks as new after three years so we ordered a second. The only thing different with this new one is the seam that runs around the top which is at eye level which our first one doesn’t have but otherwise it’s the same high quality, huge capacity and looks great.
This tap is much better than any other water butt tap that I have encountered. The tap itself is well designed and the multiple outlets it comes with really enhance it. It comes with a good washer for a leak-proof connection to the butt (although I suggest using PTFE tape on the threads, too). The handle rotates freely and goes all the way round. 12 o'clock is closed, 6 o'clock open, turn it either way so equally good for left or right handed use.
With the larger outlets water comes through much quicker than a standard butt tap. Pressure from a butt is low, even when it is full, and this really makes a difference. Plus, if you want to attach a Hozelock-type hose connector there is a tap outlet for that, too. The greatest thing is being able to change the tap outlet without having to empty the butt and remove the whole tap. I love it. It's pricey but brilliant.
I was looking for a bowl planter for a Japanese maple and this looked to fit the bill and it did . Just needed a few holes drilling in the bottom for drainage. I dropped a star for the delivery. It was lucky not to have been damaged as the box was bashed to bits.
Seeing the butt is promoted to look pleasing at the front of the house ,the company
golden sticker is poor quality ,wrinkled (air bubbles ) and slightly skewhiff .(careless application).
For the price ,something more substantial ,perhaps a thin metal would display their product for many proud years .
Fountain only runs for a max of 3 hours fully charged, this is without the optional lights.
Difficult to get a clean cut due to the spiral reinforcement and even if you pre-heat in hot water, if the fit is tight it can distort the pipe when pushing it on otherwise it does the job.
Love it, just what I wanted for our a centre piece to our front garden. Everyone comments on it.
