Poor quality tube leaks at the base, multiple attempts and methods used to stop leaking but product is not fit for purpose.
This has been very cleverly thought out by whoever designed it, and I’m very pleased with it. Knocked off one star for the eyewatering price but otherwise can’t fault it. Would recommend.
Avanti speedy fit water butt diverter is advertised as being suitable for circular downpipes 68mm - 100mm - it is not. It seemed to be a simple and time saving solution but to be sure I tried it out on a spare bit of 68mm pipe before fitting it to my downpipe. The flexible rubber arms did not rest at all comfortably inside the pipe and I tried snipping off the ends but this made little improvement - so a bit of a waste of £35.
I have since purchased a 3P Rainwater Filter Collector, which although requiring the pipe to be cut, offers a far superior solution.
A good size water butt and, with a large collection area on my roof, I managed to fill it entirely from one evening's rainfall. It stands securely on its base and can be aligned to stand close to the wall from top to bottom. I had anticipated that the bottom of the tank would be just below the tap and the bottom sections just a void acting as a stand. It was disappointing to find that the base below the tap was all part of the advertised 650 ltrs and, thus, getting on for a third of the contents are inaccessible. The plastic brass effect tap has a non-UK standard size outlet of about 27mm (ribbed, not threaded). With the water butt set to lie flat against an outside wall, the bulging bottom section of the tank makes it difficult to get a watering can close under the tap. Grinding off the thread of a hoselock tap connector enabled me to add a short hosepipe tail which overcame this problem.
The Avanti Speedy Optional Accessory is not suitable for UK standard 68mm circular downpipes (reviewed separately under this item)
We order the small GRC General purpose Headwall for a recent renewal and replacement of a culverted ditch line. The project was located is a difficult to access area. The Headwall is easy to carry and position due to its manageable weight.
It is well made and robust.
From order to delivery the service was excellent and fast.
This was the only product of its type I could find to make an above ground pebble pool. I already had the stainless steel ball but my in-ground reservoir was leaking. I bought a 75cm round BBQ grill to hold the pebbles which fits inside the planter nicely. The planter is very substantial and rigid. Very pleased with the result! It was also delivered quickly and safely.
Very pleased with the quality of the brass tap I've just fitted to my water butt. It should outlast me; unlike the plastic one it replaced.
Great size for small garden and it looks so much nicer than most competitors on market. Sturdy too, I can imagine it lasting for yonks. My one major install gripe is no pre drilled holes at top for rain diverter. This makes the installation slightly fraught. Measuring carefully not to catch the bottom of the planter for 1 but also the hole you end up with is not perfect. This makes getting the gromit fitted and then pushing the diverter pipe into it without pushing the gromit through and into the butt really really tricky. I lubricated the gromit very thoroughly and yet still pushed it through 3 times and getting it back out the butt caused a lot of swearing. I can't offer solution as I understand can’t pre drill holes on left and right of butt depending on what people want but there must be a easier way.
It looks great. A couple of things though - the manufacturers recommend drilling some extra drainage holes; you will also need some sort of non-biodegradable mesh to go in the bottom of the planter to stop the soil going into the actual water butt. Also, you can't get your hand into the water butt to secure the hose, but it is a very snug fit so you don't need it. So far it has not leaked (but only a couple of weeks into it being fitted). Very happy with it.
What they don't tell you, and really should, is that this product is not suitable for drainpipes that go into soakaways. Apparently it is so efficient soakaways will get blocked up. If I knew that, I wouldn't have bought it. Now I have to go to the expense of returning it.
Not used the Suds planter yet as its part of a building project and not at that stage.
Seems to be made of decent materials, but when i took delivery the Vortex valve had come off the internal pipework. I managed to re connect without too much trouble. I dealt with Holly from the placing of the order to a delayed delivery at their end and a request for a delay from me as well as the issue with the valve and she was exceptional, a pleasure to deal with.
I've not used mine in anger yet, but have seen them in use by others following a nasty burn to a casualty.
They looked very good, so bought some for my company.
We bought this a while ago, but waited to fit a new, taller water butt after some building work. The whole thing is loose against the downpipe and does not tighten, so water gushes down the outside of the pipe instead of into the water butt.
I can see no way of fixing this, as it seems to be a faulty part.
Catching all the water off the various roofs is increasingly important and doing so without a barrel taking up space. This product is fab
Nice looking water butt. Fitts lovely against the wall and is very unobtrusive.
Only fault was that the fittings that come are imperial size so you need to a pick the correct drill bits.
Very happy and would recommend.
The test were fantastic throughout the service. From pre advice to getting the calculation back so quickly. Couldn't recommend them higher
As with all the other items I've purchased from Freeflush the quality is outstanding.
Pleased with the look and performance of the Prestige 2.0 wall-mounted butt. It was everything I expected. However, the delivery was delayed by weeks owing to what I was told were quality control issues. Communication wasn't great but to their credit, Freeflush refunded the delivery charge because of the extended wait time. The kit contains everything needed to mount the butt and all items are good quality. The enclosed instructions aren't up to much though. I had to contact the company to clarify some of the points. They have since updated their online information which is positive. Hopefully the written items will be similarly amended. I would recommend the product overall.
