Stormwater attenuation pumps and systems
Occasionally a conventional gravity discharge stormwater attenuation system isn't suitable for a site. More often than not this is because the public sewer level is too high to accommodate the invert level of the attenuation tank outlet. In such a case a storm water pumping station can be used to convey the flows to the public sewer. Typically there are two types of systems "low head, low flow" where the system provides attenuation storage and low pumped flow. The alternative is a "low head, high flow" system where the peak storm discharge is being conveyed - no attenuation storage is provided in this system.
In order to specify a stormwater system, please get in touch and provide the following information:
- Flow rate.
- Capacity of chamber (litres).
- Horizontal distance between the pumping station and the receiving sewer
- Vertical lift between the base of the proposed pumping station to the discharge point.
- Invert level of the incoming and outgoing pipework.
- Whether single or twin pumps are required.
- Fittings from the pumping station to the outgoing and fittings from the outgoing pipe to the sewer.
- Alarm system and cable length.
