About Us
We live in a world of ever depleting resources. Is it really acceptable to capture, transport, filter and chemically treat our most precious resource only to flush it down the toilet? In the UK, this is currently the fate of around 30% of our drinkable water.
Water saving is also great way to reduce total environmental stress and carbon footprint. Each litre of potable water produced results in ~3kg CO2 equivalent or around 1 tonne per person per year!
Freeflush. Save Water. Cut Carbon.
At Freeflush, we're challenging the status quo by designing and supplying innovative water saving solutions. Our design experience has been nurtured through many years working in the water industry on large scale rainwater capture and storage. We’ve adapted our knowledge, experience and enterprise to address the challenges facing industrial, commercial and domestic users and to optimise our systems for maximum return.
Our vision is that that by 2050 water wastage will be reduced by 90% and that Freeflush is instrumental in achieving that change.
Our base of operations is in the industrial heart of Manchester; Trafford Park. With the Manchester Ship canal to the North, Bridgewater canal to the south and Trafford Ecology Park round the corner it seems only fitting to have our base here.
We have installers in the following areas: Manchester, Bolton, Liverpool, Preston, Wigan and Warrington. If you'd like to be part of the solution, get in touch.
We're committed to the environment and have made our Green Growth Pledge.
We're believers in community driven investment and change. We have invested in local community share offers including Stretford Public Hall's successful community share offer and Friends of Victoria Park Community Building.
We have made our Green Pledge and reuse, separate, sequester, compost and recycle almost ~100% of all business related materials.
Our aim is to be zero waste and offset our direct carbon footprint by 2020.
We run a (near) paperless office.
We reuse packaging received.
We use biodegradebale bubble wrap.
We freecycle (reuse) ex stock /damaged items.
Paper, card, metals and plastics are recycled.
We sequester non-recyclables into Ecobricks.
Organic waste (tea bags!) is composted.
Even our toilets combine the wash basin and cistern in one unit allowing potable cistern water to be used for hand washing first and then cistern filling.
All our lighting is now LED, and our office is now insulated with 300mm mineral wool. We've reduced our energy usage and carbon footprint by ~70% making these modifications.
All our MDPE containers, planters and tanks in the Prestige Water Range are Made in the UK and we are proud members of the Made in Britain campaign.
We host the Centre for Water Saving Technology. Reducing water usage reduces water stress on over abtracted water bodies and also reduces the carbon, energy and chemicals associated with producing drinking water.
We are part of the Zellar community which allows us track and display our sustainable activities.
We've embedded positive environmental action into our business by planing trees and offsetting our Carbon footpint.
In 2018 we were very proud to be included in Greater Manchester's Innovation 100 Businesses.
Our Core Values: Design through innovation. Supplier of quality products. Customer satisfaction.
